Over the past year and because of COVID everyone seems to be going overboard with seasonal activities and presents for little ones; myself included. Little ones have missed out on so much, especially Elara as she lost her baby sister and me and her daddy spent over a month in hospital and a further 4 months recovering. I am still recovering now but able to do more so I have lots of fun activities booked for Halloween and the little Boo Basket I am making too. I will be giving Elara her boo basket on the Monday before Halloween so she can make the most out of her little gifts. Here are some Boo Basket ideas if you’re stuck on what to include.

Boo Basket clothing

Starting with Elara’s beautiful t-shirt from the lovely Booms & June; I am love with this lovely small business and want one of everything they make. Elara is obsessed with Halloween and she spotted this as soon as it arrived so she will be over the moon to start wearing it. I love the colour and the quality is amazing. I love shopping small and when they are this cute its super easy. Sticking with clothing, I have picked up two pairs of pj’s for Elara for Halloween. When I say she loves Halloween I mean it. She has one set with lots of Halloween monsters on it and one that has a skeleton bones printed on it that glow in the dark. Both were from George at Asda and both are now sold out. Told you the world has gone nuts with seasonal bits haha.

Boo Basket accessories

I found these adorable Halloween temporary tattoos in Tesco and I just had to pick them up. Elara has always looked fondly at other little ones temporary tattoos but as they said 3+ I waited until she literally turned 3, poor child haha. I made the little pumpkin and spider clips myself, if you’d like a little how to just let me know and I’ll help. Elara has the wildest curly hair and needs it clipped back at the sides everyday for school so these will be adorable. I picked up the little bat head bopper from poundland, one bat fell off so I had to fix him back in place but for £1 you can’t go wrong really.

The little light up ghost is also from Poundland and Elara is completely in love with him. She carries him around all day and loves to light up her bedroom at night with him. Don’t worry she doesn’t have him at night, only for night time book reads in bed. And the adorable boo basket itself is also from Poundland. I showed them on my stories as soon as I bought them so if you like little hauls make sure to give me a follow @katieflossblog.

Boo Basket snacks

My Boo Basket Ideas post is not complete without snacks. I picked up the Cheeto Spookies; they are very much like Quavers but in the shape of little ghosts. Elara will adore these. I found this little chocolate pumpkin in Home Bargains and he was too adorable to not buy. I also picked up these little pumpkin chocolates from Poundland and I already ate a pack and they are so tasty. I was expecting them to be solid chocolate but they are filled with a cream very much like the inside of a milky way crispy roll. Yum! I could have got tonnes more but I figured Elara will be getting enough chocolate over the Halloween period.

Boo basket decorations

The gorgeous E banner above is from the lovely MabieMakes over on Instagram; she makes the cutest little crafty sets and this E me and Elara (mainly me) coloured in in Halloween colours because the ribbon was already black and white and I just had a vision of it looking adorable as one of Elara’s halloween decorations. Yes we decorate Elara’s room for the different seasons and holidays. The adorable pom pom bunting is from Poundland also and the balloons were from Tesco. I always find supermarkets do some of the best seasonal pieces.

The little crafty skeleton I found in Home Bargains and it was so quick and easy to put together; I think he may be Elaras favourite because she always wants to play with him.

boo basket books

I picked up a number of books for Elara for Halloween because like I said she is obsessed and really really loves all things ghost, monsters, skeletons and pumpkins. I made a reel that went up on TheMamaProjects page if you want to check that out but I will link all the books below.

I’ve not heard of a boo box before, but I absolutely love it. My little girl would love this too, she’s Halloween obsessed this year as well. It’s like she gets it and understands so much more this year, it’s amazing to see. Love the book suggestions, we’re big readers in our house. Fab post my love.
