Hiya, I’m Katie, a 30 year old Mama, Blogger and Content Creator from South Wales. I first created my blog back in 2010 alongside a YouTube Channel; these were under the name MISSbarbii3. I solely created content around Beauty and had outgrown the Barbie nickname so decided to go with Katiedoesbeauty. I met my current fiancé in 2017 and we quickly started a family so my new and current name change came out, katiefloss. Katiefloss is not actually my surname like most people assume; it came about as I wanted my actual name, Katie, to be in it and we were munching on candyfloss at the time. The name change to Katiefloss brought with it an endless amount of opportunities to talk about different categories. My pregnancy with Elara started a whole new series of posts surrounding pregnancy, honest truths series and family life. I no longer focus on one thing and will happily chat a number of different categories.
The birth of my second daughter brought a lot more honesty to my blog. Emmie’s birth was a huge trauma that tore me apart. We lost our beautiful Emmie and I have been left with the worst grief imaginable as well as huge trauma and life changing injuries. I have been rediscovering life this past year and my whole out look has changed. I am not the same person who started a blog in 2010 but it still has a way of helping me escape into a world where I can write and lose myself.
Writing a blog has been therapy for me but it has also brought me so many incredible opportunities too. I am now a part time Blogger and Content Creator with the hope of taking writing full time in the near future.
