Skincare to give you a glow

SKINCARE THAT MAKES YOU GLOW

27th February 2020 7 Comments

My skincare routine has flitted between either an amazing 20 step affair with emulsions and oils or absolutely nothing for the past 16 months; mum life is a busy one and there is either time or there isn’t. My skin has suffered so badly over the winter months and it’s finally time to get my glow back, and what better products to start with.

To try to bring back that glow from within I’ve been picking up products aimed at giving you the glow. I have used the Pixi Glow Tonic for years and it is a firm favourite of mine. My skin type is combination dry and oily but is also dehydrated; I suffer with hormonal acne and uneven texture. The Glow Tonic is a daily exfoliating toner helping me with my texture and keeping my skin as fresh as can be. It’s super easy to use; you pop a little bit onto a cotton pad and swipe over your face after cleansing, done. The Pixi cleansing balm is also great at giving you a little exfoliate whilst taking off every scrap of make-up; I also love that it feels very moisturising on my dry skin. I will be trying the newer Pixi double cleanse once I finish this cleanser as I love to double cleanse the day away.

Another favourite of mine is The Body Shop Drops of light essence lotion; I pop this on just before my moisturiser and it gives me that dewy glow from within skin underneath. It’s just a quick easy fix to make my skin look its best without a whole lot of effort, perfect mum solution. The Loreal products are new to my little skincare routine and I absolutely love them. The Loreal Pure Clay Glow Mask has been on my to buy list for ages but as a mum I rarely ever shop for myself anymore and completely forgot about it until I spotted it in Boots. This mask brightens as well as exfoliates and I am in constant need for both. One of my favourite things about this mask is how quickly it dries on the skin, sometimes my mask is coming off just 5 minutes after popping it on. As much as I love pamper time I don’t always get a lot of me time so 5 minute masks are brilliant for me.

Lastly is the Loreal Pure Clay Glow Scrub, how amazing does this sound? I absolutely love this. My skin feels so fresh and clean after using this and it isn’t too harsh on my very sensitive skin. It has a beautiful scent and is so quick and easy to use. I have been using this around once or twice a week after cleansing to just give my skin a little pick me up before slathering on some sort of oil for bed. A new favourite of mine.

I hope you enjoyed this little snippet on how I’m trying to achieve the glow from within as quickly as possible. I am glad to be blogging again and finally allowing myself to have some me time. What products do you recommend for me to up the glow factor? I’ve used the Pixi glow tonic and their double cleanse before and absolutely loved it! It was strange using something without a scent to cleanse my face, but it just goes to show that other brands add unnecessarily products into their skincare just to make it smell nice! I’m currently using Liz Earle though, and the Body Shop charcoal mask and I’m loving those, too ☺️

Gorgeous photo! My skin is most definitely NOT glowing at the moment so I definitely need to have a look at investing in some of these products! I can’t believe I’ve still not tried anything from Pixi! x

I’ve heard so many good reviews on Pixi skincare products yet I’ve never tried them myself, I might have to them when my current products run out x
