Happy Saint David’s Day! Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus!

As it’s a welsh holiday today I thought I would whip up a quick post about my favourite welsh-isms. I am from Swansea, South Wales incase you didn’t know and my entire family is welsh. Elara is also Welsh; with a little English I guess as Mike was born in Coventry and his dad is from Birmingham. I digress. We are Welsh and proud to be. Oh and above is Elara in her welsh costume; too cute. So here are some cute bits that welsh people do/say and my favourite things about being welsh.

1.”I’ll be there now in a minute” Yeah we really say that. I find myself saying this daily and I really don’t know why. It just means you’ll be there soon really. Kinda

2. We cwtch. A cwtch is a really good cuddle. Like really good. You can also be “all cwtchy” which is basically cosy but better.

3. We have amazing accents! Personally I love the Welsh accent, but I know it’s not everyones cup of tea. Back when I use to make YouTube videos I would always get tonnes of comments on my accent so I think its a mostly well liked accent.

4. Wales is absolutely beautiful. Being from Swansea I am surrounded by beautiful beaches and incredible mountains. The scenery is some of the best you’ll find in the world.

5. We have welsh cakes. If you do one thing when/if you visit Wales you need to try a welsh cake. They are sooo yummy.

6. We have Joes ice cream. Joes ice cream is the best ice cream ever. Don’t @ me because your wrong.

7. We’re very patriotic. Especially on Saint David’s Day and when the Rubys on!
