I absolutely love writing gift guides. I think they may be my favourite thing to write and I knew I just had to put together a Toddler Gift Guide ready for Christmas. Toddlers can be either really easy or really difficult to shop for so here are some presents that will help inspire you, all gender neutral presents. I have held myself back a lot over Christmas because Elara already has tonnes of toys and she really doesn’t need any more. As I am posting this I am picking up a few more small bits for Elara but overall trying to keep it under 20 presents.
You cannot go wrong with books. Kids books are incredible and I just love having a huge collection. I have written a blog post on some of our favourite Toddler books. For Christmas I have picked up honestly no less than 20 books but for the purpose of this post wanted to show just a select few. This lovely book One Hundred Steps: The Story of Captain Sir Tom Moore is adorable but also a very poignant reminder of what happened in 2020 and nice to look back on in the future. I also love anything David Attenborough so I had to pick up this Blue Planet book for Elara. She loves watching Blue Planet and is a huge book worm like me so I just know she will love this.
I picked up this adorable little doctors bag from Aldi for less than £5 a couple of months back and I am so excited to give it to Elara. She always likes to play doctor with her calpol syringes and putting plasters on any cuts we have so I really think this will be one of her favourite presents. All the bits inside are wooden and I cannot get enough of wooden toys so I just had to pick it up.
Educational toys are my fave kinda toys to pick up. You cannot go wrong with anything from Melissa and Doug so for Christmas Elara will be getting this adorable latch board. I recently shared what we bought for Elaras 2nd Birthday which also featured more educational toys from Melissa and Doug. I also have my eye on a beautiful abacus for Elara but will be keeping that for her new Toddler Bedroom as it matches her decor haha.
A wonderful present is a simple pack of crayons. Elara loves to draw and get creative so I picked up this adorable Santa colouring book from Tesco on our weekly shop (I can’t find it online but you should be able to find it instore) a Peppa Pig colouring book and a sticker book. Hours and Hours of fun crafting art time there. A simple but adorable present.
Something that we are including as presents for Elara also double as presents for us as they help her sleep. The One Hundred Steps book I just mentioned obviously to read to Elara each night to sleep but also this adorable Ergopouch Sleep Bag, which keeps Elara snug but also due to the split legs she can walk around in. Absolutely genius invention and such gorgeous quality. We chose the night Sky print because Elara’s name comes from the name of one of Jupiters Moons. Add to the mix the Bioderma Atoderm for a nightly massage and the gorgeous scent of Feather and Down Pillow spray and we have one sleepy toddler that sleeps all night. Win!
I have also decided to pop together a Christmas Basket for Elara that she will receive on Christmas Eve. Including some Christmas themed pj’s, 2 little reindeer toys for her to snuggle while we watch a Christmas film. Some sweets and chocolate which will actually be hid as soon as we give her the basket because he will eat them all otherwise. The Santa Book I just mentioned and some new crayons; and an adorable Personalised Christmas Book from Wonderbly. We love Wonderbly books because Elara’s name is quite rare so we would never find it on another book but also the quality and design is perfect. Highly recommend checking them out.
I hope this Toddler Gift Guide gave you tonnes of ideas what to pick up for your little one. This year has been so tough and I hope you can find the magic in Christmas to celebrate and have an amazing holiday. it won’t be the same as normal but we can still make it super magical for our little ones.
