I love doing crafts with Elara but all the ones I see you need an engineering degree for or a million different things. I wanted to create a blog post with 5 Super Easy Valentines Crafts for Toddlers; super easy to do and you only need a handful of things. All of which you can actually buy online so there’s no need to leave your home too. We as a family have now been shielding for almost a year and it can be hard to keep a toddler entertained so I hope to bring you more toddler friendly crafts over the months and just activities in general.

what you need

  • White Card– You can also just use paper but card definitely stand up better
  • Black Sharpie– This is to write on the cards and inside
  • Paint Sticks– These are amazing and so much easier for Toddlers to use than actual paint, a lot less messier too
  • Googly Eyes– For the lovebugs
  • Heart Stickers– For the Heart Sticker Card
  • Red Paint
  • Empty Toilet Roll Tube

outlined heart card

Now this one came out much cuter than planned. The little heart outline was super simple. I cut a heart shape out of paper and stuck it into the centre of the card and gave Elara a red paint stick to colour in the page. Then peel off the paper heart and voila, simple valentines card. I told you they would all be easy.

Heart Sticker card

5 SUPER EASY VALENTINES CRAFTS FOR TODDLERS

Again, super simple. Just fold your card in half to make it into a Valentines Card and give your toddler a sheet of heart stickers to stick on. Keeps them happy for around 10 minutes so you can have a cup of tea.

lovebug card

Arguably the hardest card to make but still super easy. Fold the card in half and then draw 3 heart outlines with the paint sticks, I went with 2 red and one pink. Allow your toddler to fill them in then outline them with a black sharpie. I added little spots with the black paint stick and then helped Elara to pop on some googly eyes. Google eyes make everything better don’t they. I think this is my favourite card we made.

This one again is super simple. You need some red paint and a used toilet roll tube. Fold the card in half and the toilet roll rube into a heart shape. Sellotape into place, because little toddler hands won’t hold it together enough. Get a paper plate to pop some red paint on and simply dip the toilet roll tube into the paint and stamp onto the card. Elara loved this one and I had to get her more paper to stamp on after she had filled the card.

strawberry handprint card

I love this one and Elara loved making it too. Fold your card in half and turn it upside down. Use the paper plate and red paint from the last card to dip your little ones hand in and stamp a hand print onto the card. Once it’s dried add the green leaves for the strawberry and with your sharpie write I love you Berry Much. Super simple and super cute.

5 SUPER EASY VALENTINES CRAFTS FOR TODDLERS

I hope this 5 Super Easy Valentines Crafts for Toddlers has given you lots of ideas of what Valentines cards to create this year and to have a little lockdown craft time with your Toddler. It’s incredibly hard for everyone but I’m with all you Toddler Mamas trying to keep your little one entertained. if you try any of these out please tag me in your posts, @katieflossblog.
