I first purchased my Real Techniques core collection including the buffing brush back in 2011 when they were first released. Let’s take a minute to really think about how long ago that was. Time goes by way to quickly. Anyway, I have used this same buffing brush almost daily over the last 5 years and I could never get it back to it’s white fluffy bristles no matter how hard I tried. Then came along the Real Techniques Cleansing Palette* and Cleansing Gel*. Usually I would use a baby shampoo and swish the brushes in my hand with the tap running, wasting water; now I wet the brush, use a small pea sized amount of the cleansing gel in the palette and swish the brush until clean, rinse and dry. It’s really that simple. No need for running taps or makeup stained hands. I’ve seen a lot of the cleansing palettes around but I have never purchased one as they have always been quite expensive but this palette retails for £12.99 with a free sample of the cleansing gel to try out. You can see by the photos above that my 5 year old buffing brush that never returned to it’s original state is almost white and fluffy again due to the cleansing palette and gel. The sculpting brush* is fairly new to my collection and has returned to it’s original state very easily.

There will be a more in depth review on my YouTube Channel here if you would like to see how I use the palette and my current favourite makeup brushes. Have you tried the Real Techniques Cleansing palette? What are your favourite Real Techniques brushes?

I would love to use this palette! I have the brush cleansing gel and it's amazing. I have quite a few RT brushes, as well as the sponge and I use them all the time.

I really want the cleansing gel as I still use soap and water! You've tempted me 🙂

It's really very good 🙂 such a beautiful scent too. The palette and gel work so well together. I can't imagine ever washing my brushes with any other combination xx

I've wanted to try the palette and gel for a little while now but was dubious of how well it worked. Sounds fab, will be picking one up on my next shop!
