If your an avid reader like myself you have probably heard of Goodreads; if not, Goodreads is a site/app where you can store books you have read, want to read or currently reading, and once you’ve finished reading them you can review them and score them out of 5 stars for other readers. Each year, Goodreads start a reading challenge. You can chose how many books you would like to read in the year and challenge yourself to read more than you usually would. This year I have challenged myself to read 52 books, one for each week of the year. As you may know I have a 4 month old baby and am currently on maternity leave looking after Elara (the 4 month old) so this may or may not be a good idea.
I have always been an avid reader but in 2018 I did not read much, maybe 5/6 books. I had a lot of routine hospital appointments whilst pregnant and decided one day late in my pregnancy to take a book to distract myself while waiting and the bug set back in and I was addicted again. So when the Goodreads Challenge popped up on my account I decided to really challenge myself with 52 books to read. So far this year I have read 5 books and am half way through the sixth so hopefully I will continue to read at this rate and reach my goal. If you would like to add me as friend on Goodreads feel free to add ‘katiefloss’. I will be posting which books I have read each month also as I love sharing great books that I have found. Click here to read an old post about my current reads to see what I was reading 3 years ago. Let me know what books I should add to my ‘want to read’ category and what have been your favourite reads lately. Have you set a goodreads goal this year? Let me know in the comments below,
