WHAT I READ IN JANUARY 2019

I am an avid reader if you haven't already noticed and thought I would share what I have been reading with you as these are the kinds of blog posts I myself love to read. These posts will just be quick and snappy and not a long review of each book, just literally what I read and a quick what I thought. I will be uploading a post each month of the year updating you on my current reads and how close I am to reaching my Goodreads target. You can read all about my Goodreads target here. So here goes.

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine- Gail Honeyman
Honestly, I just did not get the hype with this book, I don't know why but I just didn't get sucked in as much as I was expecting; I'm unsure wether everyone hyped this up too much to me or if it just wasn't my kind of book but I gave it a 3/5 rating.

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan- Lisa See
Hands down one of my absolute must reads!! Absolutely incredible, I love every page and read this within 4 days. Doesn't sound so quick? I have a 4 month old baby and I get approx 1 hour to myself each night, and I try to dedicate all of it to reading but ya know, life. 5/5.

Echoes- Laura Tisdall
I really really enjoyed this book. It's not really something I would normally reach for as it's about computer hacking but I seriously enjoyed this. Again, read it super quick and it gets a massive 5/5.

Baby-led Weaning: Helping Your Baby to Love Good Food- Gill Rapley
A bit boring for you non-muma's but I loved this. I've decided to try a bit of baby led weaning when the time comes so I was reading all about it. A bit stale in places so 4/5 from me.

I started another book in January but didn't finish it until February so that will be in Februarys update but overall I think I did pretty good.

GoodReads Target: 52
Read This Month: 4
Read Altogether: 4

I'd love it if you left me book recommendations below, thanks for reading ;)

  4. I thought the same about Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine. It just didn't grip me but I've only heard good things from people so I felt like I was on another planet!

This post has definitely inspired me to read more. I've recently read This Is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay and it's so funny!
