My eyelashes have always been fairly average, but I have always tried to grow them and improve them as much as possible. I have tried everything from fibre lash mascara to eyelash extensions, to improve on my eyelashes but I keep on returning to my trusty Too Faced Better than Sex mascara and faking those lashes. I remember I had eyelash extensions for a short period, VERY short period, literally around an hour after I left from having them done a few had fallen, yes fallen, out and it looked terrible. The next day I was attending a Wedding party so I didn't touch my eyes at all incase any more fell out; after the party there were around 5 lashes left on each eye and they were hanging on for dear life, so I pulled them out. It did pull some of my own lashes out and I have never tried eyelash extensions since.

I was kindly contacted by a PR company working with Rapid Lash and asked to review the Rapid Lash and Rapid Brow. They both help to thicken and grow your brows/lashes and leave a noticeable difference in 6 weeks. For the purpose of this review I have waited exactly 6 weeks between the photos above. I have no mascara or brow products in either photo and believe there is a huge difference between the length and thickness of both my eyelashes and eyebrows. Please excuse the messy brows, I didn't want to get them waxed between the two photos and they look a little crazy.

I think the biggest difference is definitely with my eyelashes; they have now grown so long that they brush along my glasses each time I blink. They are a lot thicker and longer than before and the broken eyelashes I did have from before have grown to the point where they are no longer noticeable.  Before using the Rapid Lash I wouldn't have believed that a products you use each evening can have such an impressive reaction and grow your eyelashes. You apply the Rapid Lash each evening on the top lash just on the base of the eyelash straight from the bottle. It has a very fine almost lip liner-esque brush which is easy to use, and you just run that along the lash line before bed. The Rapid Brow is used morning and evening and is also used straight from the bottle, with a mascara type brush to run through your brows it is easy to apply and you can apply brow products straight after the application.

I have absolutely loved the results from both the Rapid Lash and Rapid Brow; I will continue to use both products and update you on any further change in the coming months. I have used both products now for 7 weeks and I estimate both to be over half full still, so there is a lot of product within the tubes. When I do eventually run out, again I'll update you.

What do you think of my results? Is Rapid Lash something you would like to try?

Origins Masks

Origins masks have long been a firm favourite of mine, from even before I started my blog and YouTube Channel; and over the last couple of years I have found some definite keepers. The first Origins mask I tried was the Drink Up 10 minute Mask, which smells incredible as well as keeps my skin fresh and hydrated. When my skin needs a little hydration I'll pop this mask on and leave for 10 minutes, wash the excess off and massage the remnants back into the skin. I love how this mask makes my skin feel and I know that even if my skin is feeling extremely sensitive this will keep it calm, not bothering my skin at all. I think I have gone through around 10 tubes of this mask. The next mask I purchased was the Drink Up Intensive Mask, which is a thicker version of the 10 minute mask and to be completely honest you do not need the both of them. Personally I will be purchasing this mask over the 10 minute mask because it is that little bit thicker; and I can either use this mask for 10 minutes for a quick hydration or I can wear it overnight for a deep quenching fix. I use both of the hydrating masks around once a week on average, more if my skin is needing it. I have been known to use the Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask every night in the Winter.

Then last but not least is the Clear Improvement mask; I first heard of this mask through YouTube and it was hyped up to be a dupe for the Glam Glow mask; which by the way after trying both, this is a little similar but they are both equally different. The Clear Improvement mask is a charcoal mask which helps to cleanse your skin and clear your pores. I like to use this mask around twice a week to keep my skin clean and clear. I do suffer with black heads and this is one of many products I use weekly to combat and keep blackheads away. I really want to get my hands on the new Origins masks, the By All Greens, a deep cleansing mask with green tea, spirulina and spinach, and the Maskimizer, which is a mask primer and sounds so interesting.

What are your favourite Origins masks? Any Origins products that you would recommend I try?

Loreal Extraordinary Oil
Loreal Extraordinary Oil

Browsing through Boots I happened upon the new Loreal Extraordinary Oil display and tested out the products on the back of my hand; needless to say I was again pleasantly surprised. For me, Loreal as a brand have been getting it right, product after product, and it has slowly become one of my favourite drugstore brands. I was blown away by the beautiful scent of this oil and purchased both the facial oil and the cleansing oil; both products smell fantastic. The cleansing oil works beautifully as a second cleanse, cleaning deep into the skin and removing any remnants of the days makeup. My skin is very sensitive, as are my eyes, and this cleansing oil felt calming on the skin and could even be taken over the eyes. I apply the facial oil in the evenings before going in with the rest of my evening skincare routine (let me know if you'd like to see an updated skin care routine on my YouTube Channel here) and it sinks straight into the skin leaving the skin feeling smooth and ready for my skincare routine. I think the oil in both products work well together; the cleansing oil leaving a light film over the skin to keep it hydrated and then the facial oil working deep into the skin to give you that baby soft skin feeling through the night.

I have been really enjoying Loreal lately and would love some suggestions on what to try next. What do you think of Loreal as a brand?

Marula Oil range
Marula Oil range

Recently I was kindly invited to a beautiful dinner with Salon Success, the PR company behind Paul Mitchell; after the dinner we were kindly gifted a generous goody bag and some of the products in the goody bag were the amazing Marula Oil range. The Marula Oil range consists of Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair masque, Hair oil treatment, in light and regular; and a styling range which contains a styling cream, style extending primer and hairspray. The evening after the beautiful dinner I washed my hair with the Replenishing Shampoo* and Conditioner* followed with the Rare Oil Treatment* and honestly my hair has never felt better. The Marula Oil range has the most beautiful scent ever in my eyes, it smells very clean and fresh and personally I think it smells like a beautiful Jo Malone perfume.

With my blonde hair I find it really difficult to achieve a shine but with the Rare Oil Treatment it made my hair more hydrated, smoother and with an amazing shine. After years and years of bleaching, my hair is very dry and benefits greatly from any kind of oil, and with the shampoo and conditioner being infused with oil it helps keep my hair strong and soft. Sunday evenings are always pamper time at KDB HQ and boy was my hair pampered last night. I started off with applying a generous coating of the Rare Oil Treatment all over my hair, and face, washed my hair like normal with the Replenishing Shampoo, then followed with the Intense Hair Masque* and conditioner. My hair is so beyond soft today and smells incredible, I literally cannot stop touching it.

The Rare Oil Treatment can be used on your skin aswell as your hair and I have been using it before my night cream every night and it has helped my skin immensely. My skin is very dry dehydrated and prone to acne and I find using an oil in the night helps my skin to drink up the products used afterwards and keeps my skin clear and without dry patches. This Oil has been a dream to use and sinks into the skin on application; it leaves my skin luminous and soft and I cannot be without it at the moment. With skincare I like to use products for a minimum of 6 weeks before writing a review so I will be back with this one.

Overall I am in love with the Marula Oil range and will definitely be purchasing the styling range. What do you think of the Marula Oil range? Would you purchase anything?

Loreal Infallible Matte Foundation

My skin is usually very dry and flakey but over the last couple of months my t-zone has been getting really oily with the rest being dehydrated. As my t-zone is oily, getting my foundation base to set is a pain, add to that the fact that my skin is dehydrated and any kind of powder irritates my skin and clings to any dry patches and you have yourself nightmare skin. I was on the lookout for a matte foundation that would last all day and keep my skin matte and shine free the whole time. To be completely honest with you I didn't have high hopes as this foundation only cost me £7.99 in Boots, and I've tried so many high end products to no avail, that I was sure this would be the same. This foundation has become one of my all time favourite foundations; it is long lasting, keeps my skin matte all day and feels light and fresh on the skin. The foundation has a medium coverage but is definitely buildable; when applied with my Real Techniques buffing brush it blends seamlessly into the skin. I always get compliments on my skin when wearing this foundation, and let me tell you, my skin is definitely not worth complimenting at the moment. Anyone, from a slightly oily t-zone to downright oily skin, will benefit from this foundation.

Have you tried the Loreal Infallible Matte Foundation? Do you think it would work for your skin type?

I have suffered with eczema all my life but over the last two or so years it has gotten really bad on my hands. So much so that I hate showing my hands and feel that they have aged a lot. I have tried all sorts of remedies and creams over the years and nothing has ever treated my eczema as well as L'Occitane's One Minute hand scrub. I hope the photos above show how much dry skin this scrub removes and how the texture of the skin on my hands has improved greatly from before to after. This scrub is a mix of oil and brown sugar which when swirled together provide a nourishing scrub for your hands; it is very gentle and leaves an oily film on the skin which continues to moisturise after use. After I have used the scrub, any hand cream will apply and sink into my skin easily as the dead skin cells, previously preventing any moisturisers from sinking in, have been removed and the fresh top layers of skin are smooth and soft. I like to use the scrub around once a week at the least; when my eczema is really bad I can use this once a day and it will still not aggravate my sensitive skin. This scrub also smells incredible, like every other L'Occitane product.

I am now a lot more confident with my hands and like to wear nice rings and keep them moisturised as much as possible. I like to get my nails done now and feel a lot more confident within myself, it's really surprising how something like eczema can ruin your confidence and prevent you from doing things you'd normally love. I am more prone to getting eczema in the colder months and will use the scrub along side the L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand cream to keep them nice and soft. I have raved about this hand scrub on my YouTube Channel aswell as my everyday life and everyone that has tried it has fallen in love. It is a little more on the pricey side at £15 but it lasts me a very long time and it is the only thing that has helped to heal my eczema and keep it at bay.

Have you tried the L'Occitane Hand Scrub? Do you suffer with eczema? If so, what do you use to treat it?

Pixi Glow Tonic

Caroline Hirons is Queen of Skincare and if you haven't heard of her by now you need to get googling. A couple of months back I was reading Carolines blog and she mentioned the Pixi Glow Tonic, she said that it was an exfoliating toner that was made for sensitive skin; by this point I had been searching for an exfoliating toner that wouldn't, literally, strip my skin. I purchased the Glow Tonic from the website within mere seconds and since it has arrived I haven't looked back. This toner is incredible, it leaves my skin soft and clean and is super easy to use. I pop some onto a cotton pad, swish all over my skin and taa daa I'm done. Its that easy. An exfoliating toner is a step you use after cleansing but before any treatments, that removes the dead top layers of your skin very gently; which lets the treatments you use actually get absorbed by the good skin. You will notice a huge difference in your skin from day one and all your products will apply better afterwards.

Have you tried an Exfoliating Toner? Anything you would urge me to try from Pixi?

Beauty Bag Spill

I asked and you answered. I had a recent poll on Twitter asking what you would like to see more of and most of you answered lifestyle. So here is my semi lifestyle semi beauty post. I wanted to show you what I carry on me beauty-wise every day. I bought this cute little initial makeup bag from Matalan recently and it fits my most used products in. I carry my deodorant, Dove's Go Fresh, one of my worst nightmares is to smell of BO, not a good look (hah smell). I also carry my Bath and Body Works Body Spray in Sweet Pea, again coz I don't wanna smell. I carrys bobby pins (hair clips, whatever you calls em) and hair bobbles for the obvious reasons and my pink in the ear headphones incase I want to do anything on my phone or to avoid talking to people ;) hah. Paracetamol are a must have in my little beauty bag, incase anything starts to hurt, ya know, headaches, period pains, the usual. My hands get really dry so my EOS hand cream is a must. I carry two different lip balms from Tony Moly which have the cutest little bunny head lids, the lip balms are also awesome and pigmented. My current fave concealer, Urban Decays Naked Skin, also resides in this bag for touch ups and the lip product I'm wearing on the day will make its way in, this is the Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Lolita, a firm favourite of mine.

What do you carry on you day to day?

Loreal Nude Magique Cushion

When having a nosey around Boots I came across the New Loreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation and Bronzer and I just had to have them. In my local Boots the Loreal counter now has a staff member (not sure what the correct term is) to help with choosing products to match your needs and to answer any questions you may have. I was taking a seat in seconds and had stripes of each shade blended into my skin to find the best match; I'm a shade 4 but as Summer is coming I also purchased the shade 6 and of course the Bronzer.

They all apply very easily and blend nicely into the skin. You have to be a little careful with the bronzer as it is very pigmented and can give you that muddy look; but, when used correctly gives a beautiful bronzed glow to the skin. The foundation itself is a medium buildable coverage which leaves a dewy glow to the skin, which if you have oily skin, may be an issue. The cushion supplies the perfect amount of foundation onto your brush and keeps everything clean. The foundation and Bronzer have that dewy glow that I am always trying to achieve in the Summer months, if you love dewy skin as much as me you will love this foundation. All of the Cushion products come with a little pad to use alongside the product which as always I throw away. I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply the foundation and bronzer. I've been really impressed with Loreal lately and am really enjoying these cushion products.

Have you tried the Loreal Cushion products? Do they interest you?

I was browsing Pinterest lately (follow me here) and came across some beautiful photography of the new Bronze Goddess products from Estee Lauder, instant swoon. I googled the range and bought the Palette, Illuminator and the Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent. I ordered the perfume a little later so that'll be another post. The swatches above, from left, are the Illuminator, the highlighter in the palette, the blush and then the shimmery bronzer. The Bronze Goddess products are limited edition so if theres something that catches your eye I urge you to grab them while you can. The palette hit me hard man, I fell deep for this gorgeous combination, all shimmery perfectness in beautiful packaging. This palette will be perfect for the Summer months and any holidays to give you that sun kissed natural glow from within. The Illuminator can be used on the body aswell as the face and leaves the most beautiful bronzed sheen to the skin, giving skin that natural healthy glow without the sun, which we never see much of in the UK.

All of the shades in the palette are highly pigmented with plenty of shimmer and worn together give a perfect healthy glow. The Illuminator is my new best friend, giving my skin a bronzed sheen; I have been using this down my shins and also on my collarbone. Ester Lauder products have yet to disappoint and I yearn to have the entire Bronze Goddess range in my clutches.

What do you think of Estee Lauders Bronze Goddess range?

Tarte has always been one of the brands I wanted to try. With it's cute packaging and amazing reviews I knew that when I was headed to Sephora I needed, yes needed, a Tarte blush to add to my collection. I visited Sephora a total of 4 times in my week long trip to Las Vegas and finally decided, after lots and lots of swatching, that Flush was my much needed Blush. I absolutely love this perfect pink shade, it leaves the most beautiful soft pink glow to the cheeks whilst looking natural and literally, like a little flush. I bought the soft pink as I had forgotten to pack my blush to bring to Las Vegas with me, and as I was getting married in a couple of days and didn't have a blush, I needed a natural pink shade. This has been my go to blush for the last couple of weeks since I have been home and because this is the shade I wore on my wedding day it will always have a special place in my heart.

Have you tried Tarte? What would you recommend for me to try next?
